Søren Lind
Helsinki, Finland
“An edge can be a lens, a boundary, or both.”
Biography
Søren Lind moved from industrial glass fabrication into a studio practice centered on small optical forms. His work balances exact geometry with irregular hand-polished surfaces.
Artist statement
I use glass to slow looking. Refraction makes a small object behave like a much larger space.
In the studio
Lind casts clear and smoke-colored glass in graphite molds, then grinds selected planes while leaving others fire-polished. Daylight is treated as part of each piece. Brass kinetic constructions extend his interest in balance, edge, and optical change beyond glass.
