Biography
Amina Rahal makes woven and suspended works that translate architectural rhythm into fiber. Her compositions often begin with courtyard shadows and the changing density of latticework.
Artist statement
Weaving builds time into an object. Every crossing is a decision that remains visible beside the next one.
In the studio
Rahal combines wool, linen, palm fiber, and hand-twisted paper cord. Sections are woven separately and joined so that seams become part of the drawing. Architectural wall assemblages combine fiber, paper, wood, and plaster around the logic of joined sections.
