Biography
Tomasz Lewin turns sheet aluminum and brass into crisp wall reliefs. His measured folds create changing bands of shadow that make the work feel different throughout the day.
Artist statement
I work with the smallest possible shift: a fold, a gap, a different reflection. Light completes the composition without becoming decoration.
In the studio
Lewin scores, bends, and hand-finishes metal without visible hardware. Reliefs stand slightly from the wall so their shadows remain active. His tall weathering-steel sculptures bring the measured folds of the wall reliefs into the room.
