Elena Park
Los Angeles, California, United States
“A perfect surface becomes visible only after something interrupts it.”
Biography
Elena Park combines camera images, flatbed scans, and controlled digital interference. Her editioned prints borrow the visual language of glass offices and display systems, but introduce small disruptions that make their spatial order uncertain.
Artist statement
Park is interested in the polished surface as a site of error. Scanning, reflection, and compression let her build images where clarity and interference remain equally active.
In the studio
Park photographs reflective structures, scans transparent materials at high resolution, and composes from her own source files. Final prints are proofed at full size so fine line patterns remain optical rather than decorative.
