Biography
Noor Al-Khatib constructs photographs from modest interventions in real spaces: mirrors, projected color, folded screens, and temporary light. The results remain photographic while exploring what a room can conceal.
Artist statement
I use the camera to document events built only for its frame. What appears stable is often a short-lived alignment.
In the studio
Al-Khatib builds each scene by hand and limits digital work to color balance and dust removal. Final editions are printed with a narrow white border and signed on the reverse. Room-scale light works make the temporary alignments in her photographs physically inhabitable.
